The ute drove into Australian driveways in the mid 1930’s. It was the automotive idea of a bit of this and bit of that made real. Sleek and fast in the front. Useful and practical in the back. A car that could work for a living during the week and come to the party on Saturday Night. Because of that, all sorts of people loved it for all sorts of reasons that maybe the first crowd couldn’t see. Today, look around, the ute has now morphed again into a myriad of colour and contoured combinations to cover work, family and go anywhere adventure.
Ronn Kurtz could be thought of that way. But which ‘way’ is that? Ronn has both youthful enthusiasm for adventure, whether it’s inner city or bush bashing and can also turn his voice to meet more stylish products or mature services. Some might seem him as the wise old young guy, while others will use him for the youthful brain on older shoulders.
He excels at quiet advice. The voice you need to explain the difficult, to encourage the fainthearted and make dry statistical material come to life. That material could be scientific discoveries, instructions or a step-by-step guide to match tutorial or documentary visuals.
A quick Google search will also reveal another of Ronn’s abilities – comedy. From the parody of the Aussie male to brave nerdish slapstick, Ronn’s physical transformations means its a great training ground for his voice to follow.
Ronn Kurtz’s acting and voice career is just beginning but just like that adaptable ute that grew to become such an everyday part of our culture, Ronn’s talent means he’s sure to become a well-used and valuable voice on the Scout talent roster.
