Bio

A young archaeologist grabs your hand and you descend quickly into the darkness of a concealed corridor. Don’t worry he says I’ve been here before and I know where we’re going. That guiding hand, that enthusiasm for destinations unknown and that youthful intelligence well beyond his years, belongs to Kristian Schmid. Kristian, is no Indiana Jones in real life, but he still offers a safe course thru unchartered vocal territory. To the director and to listener his voice sounds like he is totally prepared. Think of it this way – he’s gone ahead of everyone else and read, researched and understood what’s required of the project. Vocal talent that is confident in the task makes everyone comfortable in the recording studio.

But all this talk of ‘vocal smarts’ shouldn’t make you think Kristian is not a know-it- all- library nerd. The measure of his ability should be heard in kilowatts of passion. He knows his stuff, whatever the subject and is willing to share it with a cool youth crowd, eager young couples, re-invented older tech heads or enthusiasts of any category who look for one of their own to talk their language with the same powerful cubic tonnage they have.

To put your script in motion, to really make it move, put Kristian in the driver’s seat. His voice brings a forward motion of pace that carries every listener with it.

A well known actor to the Australian audience, Kristian has been a regular on our screens since 1985 with his first major role on Neighbours. Since then, he’s done Sea Patrol (2007) and Packed to the Rafters (2011). Kristian has also worked extensively over in the UK, making several appearances on TV shows and theatrical stage plays. He’s currently performing in a guest role on Channel 7’s Home and Away.
