The iconic Big Brother house returns in Channel Ten’s 2025 reboot

The beloved social experiment, Big Brother Australia, is returning to its Gold Coast home in its Dreamworld house in 2025.

Leading the charge is Mel Tracina, who will be hosting the long-awaited revival.

Big Brother first aired on Channel Ten in 2001 and aired an incredible eight seasons before its cancellation in July 2008. The original program was beloved for its friendships, rivalries, and the famed bum dance by Sara-Marie Fedel.

However, the reality series didn’t stop appearing on screens around Australia. It was snapped up by Channel Nine in 2012 for three seasons and again in 2020 by Channel Seven, who turned the reality series into a dating show a few years later.

Returning to its original format in 2025, Big Brother will include unexpected alliances, heartwarming moments and high stakes. But most importantly, it will be streamed live 24/7.

“What’s so good about this is the live stream element, so you don’t have to worry about getting a bad edit or being seen as the ‘season villain,’ because viewers can log in at any time and see what the [housemates] are up to,” Mel told Daily Mail Australia.

Below is everything you need to know about the highly anticipated return of Big Brother Australia in 2025.
