Tessa Olsson

Tessa Olsson was born in rural New Zealand, however, she spent much of her young life dreaming of being an actor in the big smoke. This became a reality when Tessa successfully auditioned for The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). After completing her Diploma of Musical Theatre there, she was accepted in to The National Institute of Dramatic Art’s prestigious BFA Acting course (NIDA). Training highlights include Macbeth in Macbeth directed by Philip Quast and Johanna in Sweeney Todd directed by Constantine Costi.

After graduating in 2023, Tessa has worked in both theatre and voice over industries. She co-produced and played Susan in Good Time Theatrics’ sell out season of Tick…Tick…Boom as part of The Old Fitz’s Late Night Program. She also made her professional voice over debut – working with Six the Musical on their New Zealand promotional material and shortly after, worked with Uber Eats on their New Zealand campaign.

Now living in London, she has quickly gained traction by working with Lost Text Found Space on their production of Caryl Churchill’s Far Away. Excitingly, this five star show has been nominated for all the major United Kingdom Fringe Festival awards.
