SLIDE seems to be staking out territory closer to fantasy than to gritty teen realism but I suppose we can go with that – just be prepared to roll your eyes occasionally.
This episode begins with the five high-school kids sliding towards adulthood in Brisbane making a half-arsed effort to clean up the hotel of Scarlett’s dad after last week’s party. Dad (Ben Oxenbould) figures the party caused $5000 damage, which is going to take them forever to work off considering they’re not so much working as they are getting stoned and pushing each other into the pool. There has to be an easier way, right?
