Enthusiastic with a cool edge – Monique is going to shake up the voice industry.
Everyone wears a uniform of some sort. Real or imagined.
In the vocal wardrobe of Monique Dawes, her top hat and tails are pressed and pleated.
This is Monique’s eager to please uniform of performance. Her voice is ready, side-of-stage, waiting for her que to bounce into the limelight. And while she waits she stands to attention.
But given her stunt training, her version of ‘standing to attention’ is on her hands up-side down.
The uniformed voice over talent has a few other skills. Drawing attention as they do in front of a crowd, they are at ease providing step by step information.
Easy to follow and easy to remember. They give direction and take you through a complicated process of forms, clicks and drop down boxes. They also reappear when you
Need them the most to reassure you you’re on the right track.
Another skill you can hear in Monique’s voice is her talking to – not at – people younger than herself. An older voice can be heard as cynical or fake.
Choose a childish voice and the information doesn’t carry the weight of instruction you wanted it to have. Vocal uniforms like Monique’s imply knowledge that she is willing to share.

energy and passion.
