Matt Cowlrick is a multi-faceted creative who just so happens to do voices for a living – with 15+ years in the industry. Equipped with a classical flute performance degree under his belt and good amount of time in theatre with Fringe Festivals and improv comedy (including a one-man play “Dr Quincy’s Emporium of Anthropomorphism and Personification”), Matt brings a uniquely artistic perspective to every project he touches.
Whether he’s breathing life into animated characters or helping brands find their voice, Matt approaches each collaboration as a creative partnership. He’s not just reading your script – he’s diving into your vision, exploring the nuances, and bringing that extra spark that transforms good work into something memorable.
His creative journey has been shaped by working alongside industry legends like Marice Tobias, Dave Walsh, Nancy Wolfson, Elley Ray Hennessy, Harry Dunn, Alex Justinger, Elaine Craig, Richard Horvitz, and Tina Morasco.
Matt’s voice has become the trusted sound for major brands including Babybel, NIVEA, AFL, P&G, Pandora, iHeart Media, GoDaddy, Mitsubishi, McDonald’s, Jack Daniels, Toyota, American Express, and Hilton. In the world of animation and gaming, he’s brought characters to life in My Little Pony, Polly Pocket, Lego Friends, Marvel Superheroes Adventures, World of Warcraft, Starship Troopers, Hearthstone, and Super Mega Baseball 4 – each role approached with the curiosity of an artist and the precision of a seasoned performer.
His storytelling prowess extends to narration work for Random House (Jasper Jones), Podium Audio (Cosmic Delivery Boy), Animal Planet (Wild Bear Rescue), and the Smithsonian Channel (Dinosaur: Cold Case). When blockbusters need that perfect trailer voice, Matt has delivered for House of the Dragon, Bond: No Time to Die, Hogwarts Legacy, and A Quiet Place Day One, while his promotional work spans AMC+, National Geographic, Paramount+, MTV, and Discovery Channel.
Recognition has followed his creative partnerships: the 2021 One Voice Awards US/Canada honored him with Best Documentary Narration (Male), and he’s contributed to multiple Radio Mercury Award-winning campaigns in 2023. As a member of MEAA, SAG-AFTRA, and ACTRA/UBCP, Matt operates from his professionally designed and constructed home studio – complete with UAD Apollo rack interface, Neumann U87ai and Sennheiser MKH416 microphones, and all the industry-standard connections (such as Source-Connect) that keep the creative flow seamless.
At his core, Matt believes every project is an opportunity for artistic collaboration. He’s not just your voice actor – he’s your creative partner, ready to explore possibilities and bring something uniquely compelling to whatever story you’re telling.
