Elise Greig has a voice that has been described as a “drop of nectar”. She is also a critically acclaimed actor and playwright so it’s easy to understand that she doesn’t see scripts like you and me. Her brain enters some crazy hall of mirrors so she can bend, squeeze and manipulate the words she’s asked to perform into new shapes. She has a high regard for the power of language and while she does an array of characters and accents her straight read is second to none! Elise works the words and uncovers a performance in every delivery. She lifts the script off the page and lets it sing. For clients, that means a uniquely branded voice over. And isn’t that what they want? A special, tasty sweetener between the lines that makes it memorable. Elise has in her personality a vocal dress-up box. There’s a cornucopia of smooth, sexy, warm and friendly, mixed with party favourites, weird characters, abnormal and normal. Suburban one minute sub-human the next. She would be the first to poke fun at herself with clown shoes and bright red nose, but Elise is the consummate professional. She’s famous for the perfect take first up, but if you want to play around with the delivery, she’ll be the last to leave the room. She’s a Mum too. So when you finish reading about her theatrical achievements, the qualities of “screaming in the supermarket”…..”yelling at tradesmen” and “negotiating car deals” should be given equal importance. Welcome to the voice gym. The name on the door says Elise is in!
