The best way to get your head around Hamish Blake and Andy Lee’s new television project is to think about a really great night out in a pub.
True Story with Hamish & Andy is a radically different family TV offering coming to the Nine Network next month, and at its best leaves you with the satisfaction of experiencing a great night out at your local with mates. “It’s that feeling,” Blake says. “Our favourite nights are just a raucous time with someone with a great story telling the group.”
Converting that into a prime time half-hour of television took years, a sizeable budget and the trust of Nine and investment partner Film Victoria.
