Casting:

FIRST LOOK INSIDE THE $100M SIR JOHN MONASH CENTRE GREAT WAR MEMORIAL IN VILLIERS-BRETONNEAUX

You can see the impact on their faces.

The Year 11s and 12s from Livingstone Christian College are the first Australian school group to tour the new Sir John Monash Centre, at Villiers-Bretonneaux.

They’ve come from Queensland’s Gold Coast to the former battlefields of Western France ahead of Anzac Day.

And they’ve just sat through the final piece of the new $100 million dollar facility.

It’s an eight-minute “immersion” – a mix of re-created scenes of battle, historical footage, light and sound – bringing the horrors of World War One into the modern age.

It’s harrowing.
