The Year 11s and 12s from Livingstone Christian College are the first Australian school group to tour the new Sir John Monash Centre, at Villiers-Bretonneaux.
They’ve come from Queensland’s Gold Coast to the former battlefields of Western France ahead of Anzac Day.
And they’ve just sat through the final piece of the new $100 million dollar facility.
It’s an eight-minute “immersion” – a mix of re-created scenes of battle, historical footage, light and sound – bringing the horrors of World War One into the modern age.
