Kate Blakk is an award-winning voice artist, singer, actor, and MC/presenter with over 40 years of experience across broadcast, commercial, live event and narration voiceover. She began her career at age two as the voice and face of Playskool toys—and has been a trusted voice ever since.
A graduate of WAAPA, NIDA, and the Talent Development Project (TDP), Kate has trained with vocal experts including John Main AOM, Andrew Jack, Marilyn Jones OBE, and Patricia Oertel. She’s also studied at ATYP, the Actors Studio, and Sydney Dance Company, developing a voice known for its range, clarity, and agility.
Her voice features in campaigns for: Apple, Spotify, BMW, Walt Disney Cruises, Qantas, NAB, Kellogg’s, Woolworths, Invisalign, Claratyne, Sensodyne, Lendlease, NRMA, Vaalia, Macquarie University, ACU, Fiji Airways, Chadstone, QVB, World Animal Protection, Bio-Oil, and Harry & David.
Kate has sung jingles for McDonald’s, Tic Tac, Campbell’s, Kinder Surprise, Fowler Homes, Kanzi Apples, and the Australian Radio Network. She narrates audiobooks for Simon & Schuster, Allen & Unwin, and Audible Originals, and has voiced screen projects for Jungle Entertainment, Echo Lake, and feature films with Monumental Films, Roadman Film, and Story Bridge Films.
On stage, she has starred in Annie, Shout!, Wicked in Concert (Dubai), Les Misérables, Oklahoma!, Little Shop of Horrors, Sunset Boulevard, and The Smurfs Save Spring. She originated the lead in What the World Needs Now! by lyricist Hal David, who called her, “a formidable talent just waiting to shine”.
Kate has performed with the Australian Army and Navy Bands, and sung the national anthem at the NRL Grand Final, State of Origin, Bledisloe Cup, Swimming Championships, and the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Her single Let Me In (Drum & Bass) reached the Top 10 on the UK dance charts.
As a presenter, she’s worked with Honda, The Walt Disney Company, The Dog Lovers Festival, The Australian Government, and Real Estate Australia, and served as producer and host of the global TV series Psychic TV.
A passionate animal advocate, Kate is also the founder of the Sydney Royal Festival of Dog Sports, the largest performance dog event in Australia.
